Built for endurance runners: Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro

Amazfit has unveiled the Cheetah 2 Pro smartwatch, aimed at people training for long-distance running.

Materials and display

The new model comes in a rugged titanium case with sapphire crystal on top, paired with a bright 1.32-inch AMOLED display running at 60 Hz and reaching up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. Despite the premium build, the watch stays light at around 45.6 g.

Zepp OS 5.0, Zepp Flow and coaching tools

Cheetah 2 Pro runs Zepp OS 5.0 and includes Zepp Flow voice control, plus Bluetooth calling and Amazon Alexa integration. The key focus is sport: Zepp Coach creates personalised training plans covering distances from 3 km through to a marathon. Runners can monitor pace, running power, lactate threshold, ground contact time and predicted finish time, and can also use a virtual pacer (a pacer is an experienced runner in athletics who sets the pace for other participants over middle and long distances) as well as a track mode.

BioTracker 6.0 health metrics, GPS and battery life

Health features are handled by the BioTracker 6.0 sensor, measuring heart rate, SpO2, stress level, VO2 max, HRV and sleep quality. The watch includes dual-band GPS with support for 6 satellite systems and promises up to 20 days of battery life. There are also more than 170 sports modes, 32 GB of storage and 5ATM water resistance.
